3 Second Review: Insidious 2

Insidious 2 trailer (Screengrab)

Insidious 2  ★★★.5  (Directed by James Wan)

There is something so incredibly satisfying about sequels that craftily fills gaps left by their predecessors.

It’s tricky to do well in any medium, but Insidious 2 has a couple of the most cunning, twisty examples I’ve seen.

Doubling back on the story in Insidious and shedding new light on creepy events you took for granted the first time around, the gap fillers turn what could be your standard freak-n-shriek follow-up into something fun and fulfilling.

If you enjoyed Insidious (it’s got Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Barbara Hershey in it, so I’m gonna go ahead and take that as a given) then I’m betting you’ll wet your panties over Insidious 2.
